Mike O’Kelley

Executive Director

Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, I have worked in finance and administration positions in this area for over 35 years. Most of my work experience has been in the insurance and legal industries. I also worked in the non-profit sector, including the North Alabama Conference of the United Methodist Church, for several years in administrative and finance positions. I have been active in various church and conference leadership positions for over 30 years. Having an opportunity to help the church and the Methodist Foundation of North Alabama grow and prosper is truly a fulfillment of God's purpose for me in this season of my life.

I have been married to Sandy for over 35 years and we were blessed to raise three sons and are now enjoying time with our grandchildren. When I am not working, I love reading, traveling, and working in the yard.

DANA AYCOX

CONTROLLER

I joined the Methodist Foundation in February 2007. My accounting experience began in Indiana with a BS in Accounting from Ball State University, an MBA from Butler University, and 18 years of accounting/controller experience in the banking, healthcare, and financial services industries. I currently manage the daily operations of the Foundation and the investments offered to account holders. As a granddaughter, niece, and cousin of Pastors, I appreciate the challenges and triumphs unique to church organizations.

JEAN SANDEFUR

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

I have been with the Methodist Foundation for 21 years. Prior to this, I was the Administrative Assistant in the Department of Pastoral Services at Carraway Methodist Medical Center, until that department closed in 2002. I have worked in the North Alabama Conference of the United Methodist Church for 36 years and have also served as a church pianist and organist.

I am now navigating life as a widow after 36 years of marriage. I am a proud grandmother of 6 granddaughters, 3 great grandsons and 3 great granddaughters. I am an avid reader and love gardening and cooking.
